Cloth coasters

Guess who was bit by the creative bug last weekend?

I used scraps from old clothes and also got carried away a little and almost cut the skirt I was wearing, while on the lookout for a pretty print patch. And I have these four very colourful, reversible tea coasters sitting pretty on my tea table. I could do with some finishing tips though. The inspiration comes from here, with the only change being that I sandwiched a sheet of sponge instead of the low-loft batting square mentioned in the tutorial, reason being I don’t know what that means.

So, if you come visiting to my house in the next few days, expect to see me swollen with self-admiration and be ready to receive a pack of 6 coasters.

Nice coasters.. am greatly inspired though I am not sure if would be able to do these. But it gives me an idea, my mom made some lovely sheets, wraps, baby pillows, bolsters n such stuff when my daughter got born. I did not use half the things, they were simply too much and I was too lazy to take them all out and alternate b/w them. But I can at least take some pictures and put it on my blog. Just to show my gratitude!
I know what you mean. Mothers seem like wonder women now, after having babies and everything. Wonder how they managed their jobs and kids and still managed to cook and make all these wonderful things.

Done me proud again !! I’m very inspired and impressed ..
way to go .. the coasters look lovely .. how do you have the time to do so many things !! I’m single and no kids and yet I find I don’t have the time or energy for a lot of things !!

Something’s gotta give. So just wait till you meet the kid or the husband. I’m sure they’ll have lots of horror stories to tell. :) And thanks for your blessing my blog with your comment. My blog has finally arrived. :)

hey thanks for the link. it seems like a goldmine for crafting projects. :). did you make anything from there?
